For the first formative assignment, students will create a Mind Map to document their initial thoughts for the business research project. The project mind map is due at the end of the first phase and must reflect ‘before action’ to include a supplement of predicted challenges and outcomes, and initial preparation for the experience

Submission deadline: Thursday, 5 January 2023, no later than 16:30pm (GMT)

Learning outcomes:

1.Assess critically a range of quantitative and qualitative research designs used in business and management research then use appropriate methods to collect, collate and analyse data

2. Choose the appropriate methods to collect, collate and analyse data that is relevant to the business project

3. Evaluate the validity and reliability of research instruments

Assessment details: Research Proposal (3,000 words) will address Learning Outcomes 1, 2 and 3.

The consultancy proposal is due at the end of the second phase and must also reflect ‘in action’ to include an account of what is happening, what is being learned, what is expected from the project, and plans to ensure the project’s success.
