INITIATIVE
Try to work on my financial development and save a portion of my biweekly salary to a savings account do some research on how to save effectively . And keep track of my spending
Actively look for ways to improve yourself or things around you
Save between 5-10% of my income biweekly
Build a budget and say what worked and what didn’t work and see how it goes
Best practices for savings
1-Get the money cash and put it somewhere at home and not use it(sometimes I would forget to take the money or easy to spend as well)
2-open a saving account and put money automatically every paycheque in it.(wouldn’t work as I would have access to it through my online banking and can easily send money and use it
3- I work at TD Bank and the company offers us an employee share plan that they would match up to a certain percentage and we purchase share of the company that would keep going in value. Easy to set up as it gets deducted every paycheque from my salary . Participate in a employee share plan that can save between 5-10% of my paycheque and can withdrawal it every 4 months also the company would match 50% of my contribution (the one would work best as it’s only accessible every 4 months once also the company would match my contribution 50% of it )
