Political Science theory, examination assignment.

The assignment is an in-depth study of two or three theoretical orientations that you choose yourself from the course literature, preferably considering the types of theories you can use in an upcoming master's thesis or degree project. The task can be broken down into the following parts:

1. Present the main features of the theoretical orientations you have chosen.

2. Discuss their strengths and weaknesses. Compare and contrast.

3. Reason about how the orientations you have chosen could be used in a survey I a master's thesis/a degree project. Discuss in which ways these orientations could be used to explain/understand the phenomenon to be investigated.

You decide for yourself which parts of the course literature are relevant to your task, but you need to use at least 3 of the books included in the bibliography. You are free to also use literature that is not on the bibliography.

The assignment must cover 4-6 A4 pages (Times New Roman, 1.5 line spacing).

Correct references to literature and any other sources are a requirement for the assignment to be approved.

Maybe institutionalism, new institutionalism and feminist theory?
