By announcing your research findings, you are also giving other researchers the opportunity to continue to build upon the literature in your key area to discover trends, resolutions, and key policy implications.

Describe the submission policy - All public health professionals. Educators and researchers are able to submit manuscripts for possible publications. These manuscripts are reviewed and checked by a board of 14 members and other professionals in the area before it can be published in the journal.

Explain the journal’s  overall purpose or mission – “To build, sustain, and empower an effective environmental health workforce”. By educating the health care workforce we are able to create a healthy environment and protect communities.

Examine the content focus of the journal – There are many articles and papers regarding air quality, drinking water safety, food safety and protection, waste management and water pollution to name a few. There are studies that show how air pollution can / does affect children with asthma with increase in traffic related air pollutants.

Describe the methodologies of the types of research published by the journal – The papers / manuscripts that are submitted have many different studies that are used epidemiological, cross-section, case control, cohort, and clinical trials.
