1) Three resources about creativity and learning from the arts. The first night of class you were given a handout, Resources for Creativity, which has over two pages of resources. You can look up any of these and see much about creativity. You can also use your own resources for Creativity, if you like. You can use any of these to look up what they say about creativity. You can use any of these to report on. You need at least 300-500 word summary of what each resource says. That's about one full page on each. These are worth 5 points each, a total of 15 points. These must be type in 12 Font and it should be double- spaced for better readability & grading.
2) Curriculum: These are your modified lesson plans, which you've been doing all semester. Each of these (art, music, movement, dramatic play, & language & literacy are worth 15 points each) You choose either plans for Toddlers, Preschoolers or School-Agers. You choose two of either Toddles, Preachoolers, or School-gers. Or you can choose two of one age group. That means a total of 60 points. Most of the points for the Creative Activities File have already been done through these modified lesson plans.
3) Tips on how to foster creativity - 10 ways teachers foster creativity & 10 ways parents foster creativity = 5 points each!
4) Community Resources - three community resources, field tips teachers can take young children on in the Kansas City metro area. You must do a brief description of what they have to offer in creative experiences for children. You must include a separate brochure or a separate web page that describes what the site offers for children = 5 points for each one = 15 total. On the Resources for Creativity form there are some from Kansas City. You must explain how each of the resources you choose are excellent places for children to go on field trips to experience great creativity. These plans must be typed in 12 font and be double spaced.
