Complete a control phase

The objective of the Control phase is to establish mechanisms to maintain the improved performance and enable the process owner to take control from the project team. It comprises four steps: Standardization, Mistake-proofing, Documentation, and giving control of the process back to the Process Owner. Generally, the deliverables for the Control phase are:

An implemented Control Plan that includes standardization and mistake-proofing

Documentation of the revised process

Demonstration of significant and sustainable improved performance

A lesson-learned document

A project replication/leverage plan

A project financial benefit document

Return of the revised process to the control of the Process Owner for continuous improvement using the PDSA cycle

Once again, you will be provided documents that will help with the deliverables for the Control phase and require some completion. It is recommended to complete the deliverables in the following sequence. Instructions are provided, however, seek assistance from the Facilitators/MBBs if you need clarification or information. The team needs to complete any yellow highlighted fields.
