Ans 1: Conner years in the military shows how discipline and hardworking he is. If anyone knows the importance of safety in the workplace it would be Conner based on the military experience.

Ans 2: Employees getting injured at the workplace due to not following safety requirement will backfire on the company. An injured employee can file a lawsuit against any company. The company is already struggling to pay their current employee. They were even thinking about laying off some of the employees that don’t meet the production requirements, So I don’t think that can afford any lawsuit.

Ans 3: Conner should take its chances and explain to the General manager on the issue in the product department. He should let them know the reason why he feels the safety requirements is important. He also can report to the board of trustees with him knowing that he could possibly get fired.
