While you are visiting, what type of Modern or Contemporary art will you most want to see and why?

The type art that I want to see the most is Abstract Impressionism and it is under the category of Modern Art. This is the art that I want to see the most because this art does not have an accurate description of the body of work. Indeed, it is comprised by many different painterly styles varying in both technique and quality of expression. I love seeing different expressions because artist make a unique and mysterious painting because of his/her mood through this, he/she emphasize free, spontaneous, and personal emotional expression, and exercise considerable freedom of technique and execution to attain his/her goal, with a particular emphasis laid on the exploitation of the variable physical character of paint to evoke expressive qualities: sensuousness, dynamism, violence, mystery, lyricism. For example, the painting Gesturalism of Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning was embody a dynamic concept of the individual will operating in the here and now, and a faith in the efficacy of action. The painting becomes a denuded, structural exposure in time and space of the artistic self engaged in a series of critical aesthetic episodes, choices and decisions.

What type will you put last on your list of "things to look for"? Why do you feel that way?

The type of art that I will put last on my list is Analytic cubism.  This type of art emphasizes the flat, two-dimensional surface of the picture plane, rejecting the traditional techniques of perspective, foreshortening, modeling, and refuting time-honoured theories that art should imitate nature.

I will put it last on my list because during Analytical Cubism, the work of Picasso and Braque became so similar that their paintings are almost indistinguishable and many people were confused on their styles because the art has cubed-shaped form that made the painting appreciated at their time. For example, in Picasso's Girl with a Mandolin (1910), it simplifies their colour schemes to a nearly monochromatic scale (hues of tan, brown, gray, cream, green, or blue were preferred) in order not to distract the viewer from the artist's primary interest—the structure of form itself. The monochromatic colour scheme was suited to the presentation of complex and multiple views of the object that made viewers of the painting confused about the theme and message of the painting. As you loo at the Girl with a Mandolin (1910) by Picasso, you will get confused and you don't appreciate the artwork, that's why I put it last on my list.
