Assessment 2 OrganisationBackground:Banana Blossom Asian Salads

is a small restaurant chain in Sydney combining authentic Asian flavours with fresh local ingredients. Banana Blossom Asian Salads has become something of a household name on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Since its first site at Mona Vale, this fresh take on affordable, healthy fast food has cultivated quite a following.

Husband and Wife super-duo, Nat and Ben Thomas, are no strangers to Asian cuisine. Nat was born and raised in Thailand before moving to Australia in 1994. Ben, who spent twenty years as a chef in some of Sydney's most reputable restaurants including his own dedicated fifteen of those years to perfecting Asian cooking. In 2003 Nat and Ben put their heads together and the first Banana Blossom salad was born. After taking their creation to the Sydney Food Good Markets in Hyde Park, whilst also running a restaurant, they were astounded at the positive response. Seeing a gap in the market for a healthy lunch-on-the-go the couple decided they wanted to expand. In 2007 the pair opened an Asian Deli in Mona Vale, selling traditional Asian food and three special salads. After experimenting with new flavours and combinations, Nat and Ben decide to turn the deli into a salad-only eatery in 2009. With eight great salads on the menu, the shop was pretty much an instant hit with local Mums who continue to visit to this day. In 2012 the new flagship store opened in Manly. With more space and a modern feel, the shop has...ahem...Blossomed.

Now they want to expand Australia wide. You need to pretend that you have been hired to help them with their endeavours.
