On the other hand, attending entails identification and interpretation of sound waves with precision. For example, a passenger in a bus requires to differentiate between the voice of the bus driver and the noise generated by the engine to comprehend the driver's message. Without effective segmentation in the receiving stage, the listening process is likely to fail. 

Enhance the ability to avoid distraction from stimuli in the environment. This approach will enhance the ability to hear words or sounds from the intended stimuli avoiding any distractions that could sabotage the listening process. Avoid interrupting the speaker is another plan to enhance the success of the process. Any interruptions to the speaker are likely to enhance the receiving of inaccurate words. Being relaxed and attentive is also another approach likely to improve the receiving stage of listening. 

The listener needs to utilize the evaluative type of listening and access the information they listen and make a decision that entails an honest answer. This approach of listening will enable them to give an honest response regarding what they consider morally offensive.
