Reformation and Renaissance

Step-by-step explanation

Renaissance or simply the "rebirth" was a very strong pillar for the early reformers of the Christian church which was led astray by the ruling powerful popes and councils of the catholic church.  During this era of renaissance, the church was full of immorality and corruption among its leaders. This moved humanists whom most of them were philosophers and scholars to reform the church to its original status which was taught by the early apostolic church. However, in Italy, where renaissance was started, many humanists had a little interest in church, but when renaissance reached other countries, it took a different form of direction. For instance, when it reached northern Europe which had a more religious life than Italy, it opened an opportunity for many   northern humanists who most of them were believers an opportunity for reformation.

When printing press was invented, more broadsheets and pamphlets were disturbed within a short period of time. Through this many believers were able to access them easily and this broaden the Christian community across the continent. There more integration of Christian believers and   gave the reformers more to push for the reformation of the church (Blanchard,2019).

Renaissance brought the revitalization of culture through re-emphasizing classical texts and philosophies. It is this that caused the scholars to create their own style of art, philosophy and scientific perceptions. One of the classical texts that were reviewed was the bible. The review of the bible by the philosophers broadened their thoughts and saw the need of reformation in the church
