To prepare for NCLEX as a nursing student I am trying to familiarize myself with NCLEX style used in the test questions in order to ensure that I am comfortable with the testing styles that I expect to see on the day I'll be starting my NCLEX exam. Also, I am starting to familiarize myself with the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and their resources that are related to NCLEX.

I am starting to prepare for the NCLEX exam 6 months before the time scheduled to take the test. This allows me to have all the time to gather all the information to be covered on the test. This is helping me revisit the chapters I studied earlier during nursing school and that I have forgotten.

I am now getting fully dedicated to my revision. I am in my last 11 weeks to exam. I am finding the ATI NCLEX prep tools to use for preparation of my forthcoming NCLEX exam. These tools are helping me very much to be ready for NCLEX exam in reviewing everything necessary to pass the exam.

Some of the study techniques I can share with my fellow students are:

Start preparing early---studying early throughout the nursing course helps one to just review what they have simply learnt earlier.

Work through practice tests and questions---do as many practice questions as possible. Answering questions helps you to familiarize with the format and style used in NCLEX exam.

Review you exams--- the termly exams helps you to pass NCLEX and therefore, for every exam you have done, take your time to go through the exam correcting the mitakes in the exam.

Consider taking a NCLEX test Prep---this test will help in increasing your chances of passing the exam.

Make a list---where there are things you don't understand, it is important to note down, for instance a condition, medication, procedure or a disease then after the day's study, review the list.

Employ prioritization techniques---look out for the best answer when all answers seem correct by either using Nursing process, ABC's or Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

National Council Licensure Examination -Registered Nurse (NCLEX) is a test that determines whether or not a nursing student is going to get a license to become a nurse.
