1)Find and post examples of deductive and inductive arguments.
2)For each example, evaluate its logical strength, using the concepts and ideas presented in the textbook readings, the lesson, and any other source you find that helps you to evaluate the validity (deductive) or strength (inductive) of the argument. You can use examples from the text, or you can find examples elsewhere.
3)Is it inductive or deductive? Explain why.
4)Does it pass the tests of validity and strength? Explain
Deductive Argument Example:
Logically Valid. It is a deductive argument because it shows the truth of the premises and the validity of its conclusion. Therefore it is logically accepted.
Inductive Argument Example:
It is inductive argument because even if the premises are true it will not follow that the conclusion is also true. It allows for the conclusion to be false. It past the validity and strength for this proposition.
