He said that education must begin at a very young age

He said that education must begin at a very young age. Starting young breeds success. Repetition in any field is helpful- when you practice something all your life, eventually, you will become a master at it. I also agreed with how he mentioned poverty stricken schools versus students of wealth. Most of the times, these poverty filled schools have children acting as the mother/father of the house, cooking dinner for their younger siblings, walking to the grocery store to get groceries in dangerous neighborhoods, not having enough time to sleep or eat or do their schoolwork, come from broken families, etc. On the other hand, students coming from wealthy homes are more likely to have education be a priority, therefore the head of the home keeps books in the house, helps them with homework, one parent stays home full time to care for them, etc. Educational equity does not exist here. Systemic oppression in the education system is an entire different conversation, but it is a good place to begin. These issues are still present today, through bullying from a young age and it not being taken seriously along with COVID-19 currently changing how we learn and teach which is making it incredibly harder for a lot of students to learn which is showing through their grades.
