NH is an 89 year old man living in a long term care facility. He had
a left sided cerebrovascular accident ( CVA, stroke, brain,attack) some 6 months ago which left him with right sided arm and leg weakness, expressive aphasia and he has had an indwelling foley cather since the stroke. The nursing home team feels he is making good progress and would like to remove the catheter. He is able to transfer from his wheel chair to bed with one assist and he uses a communication board very successfully.
