The American Civil War.
The American Civil War which took place between 1861-1865 resulted in being inevitable when the South opened fire on Fort Sumter. Even before the war, there were various clear differences between the South and the North. For instance, the labor force in the South was mainly agricultural. Differences in ideas were a main element in the result of the civil war being inevitable. It was not an ideological separation for the belief of slavery to be right or wrong which resulted to the armed conflict.
According to (Feldman and Sullivan, 1) with no compromise over slavery, there would be no civil war. They only compromise that would have stopped the American Civil War rom being inevitable was for the State of the South to renounce secession and to agree to eradication. Presumably, Lincoln could have agreed to moderate eradication to prevent the Civil War. He believed that even before the war started, he did not have the constitutional power to release the slaves in one way (Feldman and Sullivan, 1).
