The poem “We Are Cool” was written by Gwendolyn Brooks in his late 40’s when he was near entered his 50’s. In his whole poem, he has basically used “we” for rhyming, and the speaker here by using “we” is trying to connect and includes every individual into the poem. We got many examples from the poem like skipping school, hanging out with friends, and many more, so from this kind of examples we got the conclusion that we all go through the same life span in our life and we all experience the same king of experience in our school or college so one should try to live life to the fullest and make every time memorable. In writing the poem the poet’s age has a major contribution as after reaching a particular age in life the speaker had experienced a lot and also had gone through almost everything due to which he was able to write about life in a very precisely and in an exact manner.
