8 stages of psychosocial theory

1. Trust vs. Mistrust is the most important stages because in this stage shapes the view of a child in a world as well as with their personality.
2. Autonomy versus shame and doubt stage where individual focuses on self control
3. Initiative vs. guilt stage where children learn to have control and power towards the world by interacting with other people.
4. Industry vs. Inferiority stage where eriksons states that changes occur across our entire lifespan from birth to death.
5. Identity versus confusion stage where adults develop a sense of self it occurs ages 12 to 18 yrs old.
6. Intimacy versus isolation stage where forming intimate love relationship to other people.
7. Generativity versus stagnation stage where adults try to prove and thrive to do more and nurture things that will outlast them.
8. Integrity versus despair stage is the final and end stage for psychosocial development

In my perspective eriksons theory plays an important role of what we are today, it allows us to emphasize the social nature of individuals and the importance of social relationship during development.
