Read "Song of Myself" sections 1, 2, and 3 by Walt Whitman. After you read the poem, read the first line out loud "I celebrate myself and sing myself." Notice, how do you say the line? What movement do you create? Do you dance the line? Do you fold your arms? How does it feel to say the line out loud? (I realize this is a different kind of journal today, but please give it a try.) Now record the answers to the questions above. What did you notice as you said it? How did you feel?
