The Preference of the following fuels based on there availability, storage, pollution and cost of fuel are given below
Here Diesel and Gasoline are cheap easy to store as well as the give good amount of energy also
Energy/gram for Diesel=46 kJ as well as low rate than gasoline make it a better option
Energy/gram for Diesel=50 kJ It can aslo be stored easily and budget friendly
Gasoline contains ethanol, typically E10 (10% ethanol, 90% gasoline) but it is not used as a single fuel in larger scale in India
Note: Diesel rates in some India cities in like Delhi have gone above 80 rupees/liter which is higher than petrol.So you can make appropriate conclusion based on current scenario or make changes if your instructor asks you to do.
