This method has worked for various companies as it earns trusts and confidence, boost relationships and sell the brand. An example of such companies that have benefited from public relation is the Coca cola company. The most recent one being the summer of sharing: share a coke. Many soft drinks consumers were enthusiastic about getting a bottle of coke with their names on it together with their loved ones- family, friends and relatives. coked swapped three of its iconic logos on a 300Ml drink with the most popular names on it mostly names of youths and teenagers. This went viral the whole world with more than one million people sharing coca cola and pictures of them having a taste of it in social media. Everyone was asking their friends, partners and family if they have got their own bottle. Some people up to now have a those bottles bearing their names inside their houses and rooms.

For loved birds, some even went ahead and gave a bottle of cold drink to their fiancee/fiance as a genuine sign of love and appreciation.

I myself went and bought a cold coke drink for myself during the summer.
