1. What are the key lessons to be taken from the video? Enumerate.
2. What do you think did the Philippines do right and wrong in its response to the pandemic?
The pandemic is a global crisis not everyone has prepared. It has affected each one of us in all factors. Although we can't help but complain to the government since some issues are evident not to be discussed. There are issues on unresolved government funding that up to now has not yet been fixed. Some government budget that are questionable and some emergency fund that has not been allocated properly.
They have not aided fairly the entire Philippines and so people protest. Lockdown is good for quite some time, we complied, we followed. But to learn that there are politicians and rich personalities who get away from strict protocols, like throwing parties and not on quarantine, these are something that the government has failed to conduct proper action.
Generally, the citizens are suffering from the administration's wrong decision-making, late decisions, abrupt decisions and shifting decisions.
3. Do you think that the Philippines should shift to MGCQ to help the economy recover? Why or why not? Explain.
Change is inevitable and we can't do anything about it but to adapt with restrictions. We have to accept the "New Normal" until it becomes normal again. Lucky for some who has managed to save up before all of this happened, but there are others who are giving their all just to make ends meet. To declare Philippines under MGCQ is still risky but the government should take responsibility in planning out how to make it easier and safer for the citizens. They should strictly carry out "new normal" guidelines, not only for compliance purposes but for securing the health and safety of every Filipino.
The economy will take time to recover but it will. And for the rest of the Filipinos, they can move forward to find a new beginning out from this nightmare.
