1. The following are some negative aspect in caste system in regards to social structure.

??It hindered national unity

??It stood against democracy

??It resulted in suppresion

??It resulted in religous conversions

??It undermined the ability and aspirations of the people

2. Hinduism is bound to the hierarchical structure of the caste system, a categorization of members of society into defined social classes. As an individual they accept the position in the caste system because of the thought to be a reflection of accumulated merit in past lives (karma). 
 

3. Caste system similarity to Canadian structure based on their status. In Canada, it is racism that makes discrimination. While in Caste system, if you are in a lower level they can make your life miserable.

4. The difference between caste system and Canadian Structure is that in Canada, you discrimated based on the race and color. While in Caste System you are discrimated based on your social status.

5. The significance of ascetics in Hindu life is that it purifies the body to help the soul, and thus obtain a greater connection with the Divine or find inner peace.
