5 - Average preference
3 - Slight preference
1 - No preference, equal
Based on such a scale, the VE team determines that

c. Performance has above average preference over appearance
The VE team also uses the criteria to evaluate both materials A and B based on 10 - Excellent, 8 - Very good, 6 - Good, 4 - Fair, and 2 - Poor. The results of evaluation for each material are as following.
