1. I have learned a lot about different personality theories. This theories helped me have a better and deeper understanding of myself and the people around me. This topic allow me to be more interested in studying psychology since it can be applied in our every day life. I think studying coping mechanisms also helped me in a way that I get to regulate my emotions and responses to a certain problem.
2. The behavioral perspective. This particular concept in psychology is concerned with how environmental factors called stimuli, affect observable behavior or response. I started applying this concept in my life because it helped me understand different approaches that drives a person's motivation. It somehow amazes me when people can be modeled to respond in specific ways regarding the responses provided such as rewarss, feedback and praise. It's about knowing the techniques on how interaction with the environment affect people's behavior.
3. I am little confused about the concept of psychodynamics. Understanding how events in our childhood shape our personality is really quite a challenge and how memories in our childhood remain in the unconscious and become triggered when a specific event take place in the adulthood.
4. Providing real life examples is a good way in making us understand the topics better. Some terminologies in psychology are really confusing so using simple terms and explaining it in an easier approach is a big help already.
5. Create activities that would allow students to interact with one another. Allowing the students to discover parts of themselves that would help increase their self-esteem. You can come up with tasks that will challenge their creativity in building programs and trainings that they can use in their future profession.
