It helps us solve many future problems, including sustainable energy and food production, managing our environment, providing safe drinking water and promoting human and environmental health.

 The 3 things with which chemists are involved that have made the greatest impact on my personal life are health or medicine, energy and food/agriculture. Modern health care is founded on many life-saving breakthroughs the field of chemistry has provided. These include developing new pharmaceuticals, diagnostic tools and diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, MRI imaging, cancer tests and pregnancy kits. Medical practices have also drastically changed as chemical knowledge has advanced. The discovery of painkillers and anaesthetics opened up a whole new scope of opportunity for medical practitioners and also the development of medicines for various diseases and also vaccines that helps us from being infected by many diseases.

Another key contributions the field of chemistry has provided to us is the ability to harness and store electrical energy which is electricity. Electricity helps us in many ways like providing us lights, making our tv and other gadgets work, helps us cook food and many things that requires electricity. Also the battery which invloves chemical reaction that produces electricity that helps us use technologies and other things.

Last is food/agriculture. Complex technology goes into modern food production. From soil science to nutrition analysis, and from safety testing to food packaging and preservation. Also if it wasn't for refrigeration, our food distribution systems would be limited and storage would be on shortage. The invention of fertilizers helps the food production to increase and helps us have adequate food and other crops. Food is one of our basic needs so chemistry really have an impact in our food production and prevent scarcity of food resources.
