• The Cavite Mutiny was an important event in Philippine history as it is understood as the event that started the revolution that lead the country to freedom. There are two sides to the story that led to this event, one is that it is due to the taxes and retraction of privileges imposed to the laborers and the other was because of Fr. Burgos which was not true at all. An unknown person, also a priest, disguised as Fr. Burgos to recruit mutineers citing the injustices as a reason to revolt. During those times, people were fed up with the treatment they have been receiving and so, knowing that someone is willing to lead them, and it happens to be a person of power, made them agree to the fraudulent (scam) proposal. If any of the recruited people noticed that the person recruiting them was not Fr. Burgos, it would have prevented the mutiny however, it would be very likely that the unjust treatments the people received would have been worse. Yes, it would have prevented the mutiny but it does not mean that people won't be killed.

In the same sense, spreading false information will make people think and act differently that is at the hands of the person who was spreading false information.
