Having graduated with a degree in management have experienced several challenges as a job seeker during he recruitment process some of this are;
- I lacked experience,most jobs required at least a year or three years of experience for qualification and just having graduated it was not a practical ting.h.
- lacking connections.people you may know in an organization was a real challenge
- Trouble finding an area your are best fit in as i had no specific specialization yet.
- lacking competitive advantage;I had not taken any other short courses that would act as a boost to my degree certificate and this therefore was a disadvantage to me because during the process ,applicants with extra qualifications got an upper hand
- another experience was being exposed to very vigorous modes of training like lifting loads to prove physical fitness and these activities cost me various opportunities.
- being unable to give a good bribe saw me loose opportunities to my less qualified competitors,unfortunately it is the norm in our society.
- very rude and mean interviewers are also a bad experience I have had during a recruitment process,I have been with supervisors determined to make one fail,they discourage you and ask you very out of context questions.
- sexual harassment during recruitment process has also been a challenge I experienced,the recruiters take advantage of there position to either ask for sexual advances in return for a job or just handle you inappropriately in the guise of checking health qualifications.
despite this hurdles I did manage to get a job letter on though I stared as an intern and letter rose to a sectary.
