               During world war 1 in 1994, soldiers from the British force began to report medical signs such as dizziness, headaches and hypersensitivity to noise. It was an outcome of a physical wound to the brain. According to the DSM5, these signs indicated that the soldiers were suffering from shell shock, but this remained poorly understood psychologically and medically.

The British government published the following recommendation to reduce the level of shell shock that was experienced by soldiers

1.Reappearance to the fighting line- soldiers were not supposed to return to the fighting line under the following conditions

               -if the disability of the soldier was a mental breakdown requiring treatment from the hospitals.

               -if the disability experienced by the soldier is an anxiety neurosis of a severe type

               -if the neurosis requires a long period of relaxation and treatment in the United Kingdom

2. 4.In base hospitals-it was recommended that the shell-shock case should receive medication in a separate hospital or separate section of a hospital and not with ordinary sick and injured patients.
