What element makes plumbing pipes?
Plumbing pipes are usually made out of copper. Copper is an element with the atomic number 29, and its chemical symbol is Cu. The reason copper is used in plumbing pipes is because it is relatively cheap, long-lasting, malleable and generally non-toxic. Copper also inhibits the growth of bacteria.
Note: copper can become toxic if found in high levels in the body.
