5. I show my respect for life by listening. It shows that I value what the speaker has to say. In fact, when I take the time to listen to someone, I take the time to listen properly. I Set aside what I am doing so that I can focus on the speaker, showing them that they are important to me. When I listen more, I always automatically feel the compassion that comes with it reflecting in my life.
6. I have ever been in love. The reason why I knew I was in love was due to signs like increased energy, narrowing of my mental focus, sometimes sweaty palms, light-headedness, racing heart, and a lot of positive feelings towards the person. I do feel that I am loved by my best friend because she always makes everything about me. She frequently puts my own needs before her own. Whenever I need her, she is always one step away no matter what she is doing. Most of the time, she come looking for me even after talking on phone, just to make sure I am really fine.
7. My standard of love is compassion. What's essential about behavior is not the label we put on it. All that matters is the outcome it has on the people we love. When loved ones are hurt, we must respond with compassion, not with arguments about the designation of labels. Most people are actually unlikely to form a bond with someone who doesn't care when they are hurt.
8. The Golden Rule says "Do unto others what you want others do unto you". The standard of love if we consider this rule is still compassion. Everyone wants other people to treat them with concern and kindness and it is only fair if you start by giving that kind of compassion to them so that they can also learn and reciprocate it in their actions. Compassion involves empathy, where one understands what a particular pain feels like and therefore cannot allow that kind of pain to be felt by others.
