Part 2 is about synthesizing research, applying it to your life, and writing your findings in a well-formed draft.
Use your notes, research, and the directives in Paragraphs 1-8 to write your draft of 8 paragraphs. Write each of your paragraphs (7+ sentences, correct spelling, punctuation, etc.) to address the topics in the assignment.
Use a topic sentence to state what topic you will address in the paragraph. Then, elaborate on and explain your information. End the paragraph and transition to the next paragraph. Do this for each paragraph. When you finish you will have an introduction which announces the main idea, (career), a body that explains the topic, and a conclusion with a supposition of how the material applies to life.
Do not copy/paste research material word for word from the original source. Process (synthesize) what the research means and write it in your own words. Do not copy/paste research material. It is important that you understand how the information applies to you.
Double check your writing to make sure you have covered all the required topics. Rewrite to clarify and address each topic properly.
Next, check for spelling & punctuation errors. Check that you have 7 or more sentences in each of the 8 paragraphs. Please double space your draft before submitting it.
Important: You are now writing a draft. When we do the formatting in Part 3, you will learn how to use in-text and reference citations to credit the original source from which you borrowed facts and particular details.
This is a significant grade. It is worth the effort to proof read and polish the paper.
