Not one less is a slogan that gave its name to a feminist movement that emerged in Argentina in 2015. It is a protest group that opposes violence against women and its most serious and visible consequence, feminicide.

The march called Ni una menos was held for the first time on June 3, 2015 in eighty cities in Argentina. In addition, the protests were repeated on June 3 and October 19, 2016. In the country, until 2016 an average femicide was committed every 30 hours, in 2017 this average rose to a femicide being committed every 18 hours. They also concentrated again in 2017, being the year with the most concurrent.The movement has also spread to other countries in Latin America, Europe and Asia, including Uruguay, on June 3, 2015; Ecuador, on July 30, 2015; Peru, on August 13, 2016; Bolivia, on October 18 of that same year; in Colombia and Venezuela, on October 19, Nicaragua, Chile, on October 21; Italy, France, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, United States, China, Holland, Belgium, etc. and later in Paraguay, on December 20, 2017; Guatemala, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Honduras, Bolivia, the Dominican Republic and Spain , - whose first demonstration against violence against women was in November 201516 -, and Italy on March 8, 2018, among other cities.

The main objective of this movement is for women to be treated with the same rights as men. Some of them are the right to be treated equally, eliminating all kinds of discrimination, the right to work, without inequalities such as the glass ceiling (explained in the Feminist Dictionary) or the right to receive the same salary as a man for the same work, since according to studies, women earn 37.4% less than a man.

Reading marathon: On March 16, 2015, the discovery of the body of Daiana García, who disappeared 5 days earlier, half-naked, with a stocking in her mouth inside a garbage bag, was released. This news caused a stir in society. The day of her disappearance it was ten years since the disappearance of the Neuquén student, Florencia Pennacchi, when she left her house in Palermo.From this, a group of women, writers, journalists, activists, artists, called a reading marathon in order to make the problem visible and demand a brake on the counter of dead women, for March 26, 2015 against femicide in Plaza Boris Spivacow, in Buenos Aires.

Gears: The call is made in a way that adheres to numerous feminist groups and social organizations, and is disseminated on social networks, women's magazines and in the most important newspapers in the world, and is supported by all kinds of people regardless of their gender.

Demands: In each central act of the march, in front of the Congresses of the participating cities, they read a document on male violence and with the requests that are made to the State, then they are recorded in the corresponding organizations.

Many dressed in black, following a slogan that was generated on social networks. In turn, after 5:00 p.m., a large number of people gathered at the Obelisk and began to mobilize towards the Plaza de Mayo, carrying signs calling for an end to gender-based violence.
