Spectator misbehavior has been a crisis in the world of sports for a long time now. There are several reasons why spectators may misbehave or fight on a matchday. The reasons why spectators fight include drunkenness, unsatisfying match results, and hooliganism, among other reasons (Nhemachena, 2016). Hence the mentioned factors have made several games come to an end and even led to the matches' postponement. The factors that I would check before the game include controlling alcohol consumption, coming up with the right policies, reminding players of their commitments, involving the sports leaders, and acquiring enough resources.

If I had hosted a sports event and fights broke out, I would take specific measures to ensure that fights among the fans do no break out again. First, I would ensure that policies about how alcohol is served are stated clearly before the match day. The rules will be strict, and I would ensure that any drunk teenager does not participate in the sports (Knapton, Holly, et al., 2018). Furthermore, I would ensure that drank fans are not allowed into the sports venue. Other than that, I would make available food and water so that the alcohol consumption rate will be low on match day. Hence, this will help reduce the rate of fights which are caused due to drunkenness.

The other solution that I would ensure that is put in place is setting the right policies about the match in place. I would ensure that I put clear guidelines for the game so that nobody misses them(Knapton, Holly, et al., 2018). An example of such policies is a code of conduct for the players. This will help avoid issues such as misbehavior and violence since the spectators and the players will be aware of the rules. Moreover, I would invent the means that I would use on the sports day to remind the players and spectators about their commitment. For example, I would ensure that a public address is put in place to remind the fans and the players that they had signed an agreement to keep their cool during and after the match (Knapton, Holly, et al., 2018). This idea will help to have control of the fans and players. Additionally, I would hold a meeting with the sports larders before the sports day. I would talk to the leaders to remind them of the prior occurrences during the last match and seek advice from them on further adjustments that I have to make to ensure that the chances of violence are reduced.

Lastly, I would ensure that I gather more resources before the sports day. The other reason why spectators become violent is the lack of resources (Knapton, Holly, et al., 2018). for example, a player might get badly injured in the field due to a lack of specific sports gear. Therefore, to prevent such occurrences in the next match, I would ensure that I provide enough sports resources. Consequently, acquiring enough resources will help reduce violence.

In conclusion, spectators fight due to drunkenness, hooliganism, and dissatisfaction with the match results, among others. The factors that can be put in place to avoid the reoccurrence of fights in sports are controlling the rate of alcohol consumption and putting favorable policies in place, among several others. With these factors in place, I will avoid spectator violence and have a successful match.
