For a successful process of consultation there are certain stages that should be achieved in order to achieve a successful interaction process and include; reorganization and an accommodation request as the employers will be able to recognize the request.

For a successful process of consultation there are certain stages that should be achieved in order to achieve a successful interaction process and include; reorganization and an accommodation request as the employers will be able to recognize the request. Gathering information is the next step as once the accommodation is received, the employer gathers necessary information to process the request. You explore accommodation options through identification of a certain problem. The next step is choosing an accommodation to implement and incase of more than one option, preferences of employees is considered. The final step is implementing and monitoring an accommodation through effective communication.

In some cases an accommodation may fail to be effective due to reasons such as: equipment changes, job changes or the accommodation could become a problem for the employer. Re-drafting of an accommodation should be considered such that incase some certain equipment is proving to cause problems in the work area someone should be called upon to replace it (Allen, 2016).
