Linda and Tisha I agree that there are many different environments where abuse may take place and it is not always the care giver. In a society where children are placed in sports at an early age, parents must be very in tune to how their kids are interacting with their coaches, team doctors etc. These people have positions of authority and most often are not questioned by the child or parents. I use for example the recent news of the team Dr. for USA gymnastics and Michigan state. In the gymnastics world he was highly respected and right under everyones watchful eye he was committing multiplee acts of sexual abuse with young gymnasts. This went undetected for many years. When there were questions of his conduct they were disregarded and he was allowed to continue. Such a failure in our system...if he had not been a well respected Doctor would this have been stopped sooner?
