Daraz Mall Company provides free examination of its products for 7 days. If not completely satisfied, a customer can return the product within that period and get a full refund. According to past records of the company, an average of 2 of every 10 products sold by this company are returned for a refund.

  1. Find the probability that exactly 6 of the 40 products sold by this company on a given day will be returned for a refund.
  2. Find the probability that no more than 3 of the 20 products sold by this company on a given day will be returned for a refund

Question 2:                                                                                                                          (2.5+2.5)

Early in October COMSATS discovers that it can accommodate a few extra students. Enrolling those additional students would provide a substantial increase in revenue without increasing the operating costs of the university; that is, no new classes would have to be added. From experience the university knows that the frequency of enrollment given admission for all students is 40%.

  1. What is the probability that at most 4 students will enroll if the college offers admission to 10 more students?
  2.  If the frequency of enrollment given admission for all students was 70%, what is the probability that at least 12 out of 15 students will enroll?
