What impact has deregulation had on commercial airline safety?

The deregulation of the airlines has increased airline safety risks. Implementing most of the safety precautions on an airline is expensive. Due to the increase in competition from the deregulation, most airlines have implemented inadequate safety precautions to protect their customers. This has led to a rise in airline safety risks and has increased the number of airline accidents. This is different from previous years when we had airline regulations where all airlines were forced to abide by a specific safety protocol that was effective and sufficient.
