CHARACTERS:

Stock characters or stereotyped characters are not as boring as they may sound but these characters portray a single in-depth characteristic which a reader or viewer can determine. In the flow of story, he can be a funny guy or the intellectual one.

Hero character usually determined as the protagonist in the story. The one whose journey are from the rough roads to the smooth sail state. Happy ending and winning are commonly expected from them. Also, these characters carry values and good examples.

Villain character is of course the antagonist in a story. They are the ones who give the struggles for the silent life of the hero/protagonist. These characters portray a not to be adapted kind of attitude. Essential to determine the great deeds that the protagonist will do as the story moves further.

Heroine character is equal of a hero in a story, his female version. The same way of being a protagonist, and as defined too. Their actions are always noble, as that of the hero.

Lead character is the one where the story revolves. It does not actually matter if he/she is the good or bad. As long as the story is focused on him/her, this character leads as to where the story is going.

Anti-hero character is known to be a protagonist but unfortunately lacks attribute of being a hero, or having the traditional ways of being one. It is like saving someone in need yet with a hidden agenda.

Protagonist character is the one who everyone must know and understand of. The apple of the eye of the story. In a usual concept, the good one.

Antagonist character are which has only one goal and that is to interfere and oppose against the story's protagonist. This role carries the start of any story's conflict, minor or major.

Major/Main characters are considered to contribute a noticeable amount of events and conflicts in the story's whole run.

Minor characters are the ones who gave ample amount of lines, situations, and conflicts but not as big as the major ones. The add and support details in the story which other people may even by pass as they watch.

Foil character shows a contrasting attitude towards other characters on the story. This role sometimes has the opposite attributes of the hero that causes for the hero/heroine to further shine with their good qualities. The may not be the main villain or antagonist but their relationship or connection with the main character is quite antagonistic.

Flat or Static character is also called non-changing character, who are to be determined not being eye-catching but essential into filling gaps in the story such as details in a family tree for being an aunt/uncle or a silent guy from a neighborhood.

Round character makes any reader/viewer stay interested in the story. They are progressively revealing themselves through different situations that can put audience to question and engaged. Protagonists or other major characters can usually be a round character.

Dynamic character, or also called changing, is the opposite of the flat character. their character develops as the story moves forward., either in a positive or negative way. Roles such as this are sometimes the not so goody good one yet ends to have an important part to the whole story.
