The discussion guide outlines what the interviewer has to accomplish and a time line of how long it should take. After reviewing this guide I find that it is through-row in what it is trying to accomplish. The questions are easy to ask and offer the interviewer the ability to really connect and make the interviewee to feel comfortable. They also repeat the same question differently to see if they can gather a more in-depth point from the person. This allows the researcher to find out how they feel and see their interactions to the questions. The use of pictures to help explain how the person feels about the lottery is a good approach to obtaining information. They can use this to relate ads and commercials to what the people determine have an impact to the lottery. An issue I see is that this is still based on a persons feeling and not any real data. Most of the information is the interpretation of how these people feel, even though they go into great detail. For the most part it is a good guide to gathering information and the information that is gathered does provide important data.
