Personal protection equipment (PPE) should be guaranteed to ensure the nurse's safety during their care provision in the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. According to Shaukat et al. (2020), PPE is one of the identified factors that increase nurses' risk of being infected. The figure provided by the International Council of Nurses (2020) regarding nurses' deaths is not conclusive as there might have been more unrecorded deaths or statistics unreleased to the public. Due to politics, some of the deaths have been denied by governmental organizations. However, ignoring politics, the main contributor to the care providers' high infection rate and deaths is the lack of proper PPE. COVID-19 is highly infectious, and PPE should be mandatory for those involved at the frontline.
