If you know the mass and volume of an object, how can you predict whether it will float or sink in water?
If we know the mass and volume of an object we can calculate it's density
Density = mass of object / volume of object
Now suppose density of object is D1 (say)
And density of water at normal condition is 1g/ml , so if Is higher than density of water the object will sink in water
And if density of object is lower than that of water it will float on water
