1. Fear of the Unknown.
Sample1. A new accounting software (SAP) is introduced to the company to be adopted in replacement of the existing software (ERP). Many employees will be resistant since everyone will adjust and there might be new processes that they don't know. They are afraid of whether they can prepare their reports properly. They are afraid that they might loss business data or records during the process of migration.
Sample2. HR department introduces using biometrics logs to record employees attendance to replace the current Daily Time Record (DTR) using clock cards. Many employees will be afraid whether thier logs will be actually recorded by the biometrics. What if they are not being read and so they will not be paid. They feel that using clock cards is very assuring since they will see it by their own eyes that they have log in to the DTR.
2. Fear of power loss.
Sample1. The company is changing its number of directors from 12 to 9. Some directors will be afraid to lose the position since they will not be authorized anymore to engage in the business operations.
Sample2. There is a new manager hired who has high qualifications in terms of experience and education. Existing managers will be wary of the new manager because they will view him as a threat to their positions.
3. Fear of economic loss.
Sample1. The automation of production of manufacturing plant is adopted. Many employees will be afraid that they might lose their job because of the automation and will lessen their working hours due to improved efficiency.
Sample2. A new manager is taking the position who is overtly strict and seems unapproachable. Employees will be afraid for they might be fired if the new manager will not be satisfied of their job performance.
Sample3. The company issued a new memorandum that prohibits acceptance of tips, kickbacks and gifts in cash and in kind from customers and suppliers. Some will be down and will not be happy for they will lose some earnings.
4. Conflict of Interest.
Sample1. The company is adopting racial non-discrimination policy. It will be a pain for some people to accept new people with different cultures. They might be indefferent and might not adapt the new organizational culture.
