the elite approach is correct because every society is run by the elite and most people have little impact on political decisions.

I would like to agree with this kind of argument that the elite approach is correct this is because the individuals that form this group of elite in the society are people of high intellect, wealth, specials skills, and experience thus they can be able to influence the society variously. Due to the influence that they have in society, they can easily take place of authority r than those of others in society. Wright Mills(1956) in his book ''The Power Elite'' argues that the government is controlled by a combination of business, military, and political elite.

According to the theory of the elite its is clear that a minority group, rather than the masses control things, this means that the common man in the society is ineffective. When we look at countries that are democratic or have democratic mechanism the ruling elite always function in a way that is largely independent of control by a popular majority, the elite tends to function according to a ''political formula'' especially during elections.

Another reason that makes me agree with this argument is that the elite in the society uses their wealth to control the economy of the country, this is true because the elite in the society owns big business firms that have a great impact on the countries economy. They use their wealth also to secure positions in politics, for a common man to influence the political world it will take time and thus elite approach is correct.
