Facility Location 

• If you were starting a new software development company and could locate it anywhere in the world, which place would you choose?
• Provide an explanation of the variables you would consider in selecting the country and justify your rationale.

Actually, based on the Software Development Ranking on an International Platform level I would definitely choose my location to be India and the best location for my company. 

You realize the in a cross-sectional comparison, within the realm of programming enthusiasm and the level of making more robust moves in the software developments, and at the same time, having a more reliable software engineers, or data analyst that are geared towards the success of the company.

For the second part of the question, the following are the explanation of the variables that I would consider in selecting India and the justification of my rationale.

Number one, the realm of evolution of the Information Technology of the country.

This would be my very first consideration in terms of the variables that I will be looking at. When we look at the prosperity of the software development companies, they are based on the evolution criteria of the markets that the location of the company is attached to. So, if the evolution of the market has not been encouraging for the information technology and its future, then the location would not be worthwhile for the company location and situation.

Based on this, the reason why I would chose India is because over the recent time, India has evolved in its IT market more than any other region and this has been characterized by the presence of several IT lines of operations and companies that are used in the outsourcing of the IT related information technologies. For instance, we have the India Next Gen Technology which has been noted as bloc chain that spurs the information technology in India and the development of robust software and information technology experts and professionalism.

This means that for the location such as India, I would be having a base that has been formed and the base for the IT development that has already been instilled to cater for the merging market and their developments.

Number two, I would definitely consider the variable on cost advantage and leverage.

We know that for any activity that the company will be venturing on for the operations on the software development, the cost advantage and leverage on the market environment would be a key variable for me. This would be considered because the cost advantages would enlighten me to the knowledge of the development of my company more so in the short run where the company would be meeting more of the totals costs being higher. 

Now, when we look at India on this variable, we find that India has been mentioned to be the best in terms of cost activities in the company operations more so  in the outsourcing of the information technology activities. For example, many management pundits have noted that the Software Development Outsourcing to India has helped many industries to have a competitive edge and advantage in the realization  of technology innovation and competitive edge for the activities that are on high demand as far as the software development is concerned. So, India becomes the sure bet for the move to locate the company and get it running from the day one.

Number three, it is importance to consider the realm of regulation and the complexities in the market environment.

So, based on this, as the company will be starting and gaining the grounds, one thing that would be very key is the complexity of the working environment. The complexity comes in the form of regulation and other key measures that the country takes to further the operations of the companies in general more so for the tech companies.

Now, for the case of India, it would be the best location to settle on since Indian Market has been regarded as one of the strongest free markets in the international outlook. For instance, the sectors are privileged and are keen to ensuring that the development comes forth in a robust manner as long as there is goodwill to continue. India has large pool of talented resources and the regulation of the use of resources is not restrictive that can hinder spurring of the agenda to grow a company. This means that the software company would be accessed to the resources and made to get the to bet in the long term.
