What would be the clinical diagnose (in terms of psychology) for the following case:

Lately, Jon has been getting into physical fights and recently got arrested for trying to steal a car. When his mom went to bail him out of jail, she told police officers that she doesn't know what to do with her son, as he lacks remorse for his behavior. She also revealed that this has been going on for a long time - when he was a kid, he would even throw rocks at the stray cats in the neighborhood.

 

The clinical diagnose for the case of Jon is referred to as Conduct disorder, it is a serious emotional and behavioral disorder which mainly occur in children or the teens and so the children with such disorder often display violent and disruptive behavior pattern and may also have problems in following the rules. One is considered to have conduct disorder when the behavior related problem last for long period of time leading one to violate the rights of other people and go against the accepted behavior norms .

Conduct disorder symptoms can be mild, moderate or severe depending on the age of individual, the people with conduct disorder are always unable to appreciate how others can be hurt by their behavior and they generally lack remorse about hurting other people. They may intentionally destroy property, break homes or cars with an aim of stealing, bully others or become cruel to animals without feeling guilty at all.
