Summary

Importance of teenagers to understand the different parts of the nervous system and the different hormones found in males and females.

Step-by-step explanation

Explanation

1.It is very important for teenagers to understand the different parts of the nervous system and how it function to manage stress and anxiety .the nervous system is composed of two different parts which function differently they include the sympathetic nervous system and the parasympathetic nervous system. A teenager can express stress after expressing an emotional situation such as heartbreak from a friend or peer group. After understanding the two parts of the nervous system, he /she will be able to understand that the sympathetic nervous system will instruct him /her to go and fight the response. The parasympathetic nervous system is the one that will signal him to rest or slow down. These two parts of the nervous system are always working together and receiving a signal from the brain.

After learning the nervous system and how it works the teenager can now use different techniques to manage stress. This technique includes

-teenagers can improve their quality of sleep by trying to get at least 7 hours of sleep and set regular times for waking up and also going to sleep.

-teenagers can also try mindfulness through meditation so also to create awareness in their body and surroundings. This has a positive impact on depression and anxiety.

               - teenagers can also speak with a therapist to manage their stress levels

2.people put off different devices during a sleeping time such as light, computers, and phones because these devices can interfere with sleep by overwhelming the production of melatonin a hormone that is released in the evening to allow one to feel tired and ready to sleep. Melatonin provides the body with a signal of darkness and whenever there is light the circadian rhythm of melatonin inhibits the synthesis of melatonin.
