Given below are the 4 major categories:

1. Functional Teams: Teams working for different functions for example- production, operations, marketing, finance etc.

2. Project Team: Teams working on common goals. They have proper goals and timeline to complete their project.

3. Cross Functional Teams: Team capable of handling different functions.

4. Matrix Teams: Here in a matrix is followed from senior to junior reporting.
