When several vendors give services and develop different system components, there is a big chance of having issues when trying to integrate or combine each component from each vendor into a single working complete system. This would result to additional cost and time.
• Higher effort in overseeing the project processes - If a client has multiple vendors, the client would have a higher effort in overseeing and managing each of the process or component because the client needs to monitor each vendor if the needed requirements are really delivered properly.
• Higher cost because of multiple price ranges - Vendors have different price ranges for the services and products they are offering. If a client has multiple vendors, consequentially, the client would spend more cost because the client would have to pay not only one, but, all the vendors the client received services.

• Difficulty in finding a complete vendor - It is not that easy to look for a vendor with specialized department services which can meet all the client technology and software needs. Most companies do not have the capability to facilitate, maintain, and train staff which can all be experts in every field.

If a client only has a single vendor, if this single vendor would have some technical or any managerial difficulty which may result to service failures, it would have a big impact to the client because there are no other vendors which are supporting the client processes and needs.
• Flaws on specific vendor services - Single vendors which offers a lot and complete services would have the possibility of not having the perfect service. There are times when a vendor would focus only on one direction, service, or department. This will result to failures on other offered services. For example, a vendor with good quality of services in its development team doesn't mean that its customer support team has the same good quality.
• Less improvement - Big vendors with complete services can possibly stick to the standard procedures of their processes. This would hinder them from having improvements and adapting to the latest technology trends and services.
