This project is designed to provide you with practical experience in applying Operations Research concepts, tools and techniques related to Project Management. It is recommended to use Linear Programming as it is the easiest and well established branch in Operations Research. It is a group project, each group contain 3 to 4 students. The objectives of this assignment are: ? To learn fundamental skills in using operations Research tools, techniques and solvers (software). ? To use Operations Research as a tool for supporting decision making process in Project Management practising. ?

To practice some professional communication skills as to explain: problem statement and assumptions, used technique, mathematical model, software used, the model solution and sensitivity analysis and your recommendations for the best action and decisions to be considered. You will follow this approach in conducting this task: ? Learn how to use Operations Research tools and techniques. Use the material uploaded to the Blackboard and the on-line tutorials related to Operations Research. ? Apply what you learn to apply Operations Research tools and techniques to solve a real life problem related to Project Management (with at least 10 decision variables and 40 constrains).
